Moon Tunes Treats

 Another evening at Moon Tunes listening to TUGG. 

What would we do without food trucks. It certainly upgrades the experience of outdoor events. Here' my tribute to them. I think I need a flag like they got. Any ideas on what I would put on it for wording?

I thought about adding people in front of the trucks but then changed my mind. Felt it would get too busy and I'm too busy getting onto the next painting.

Next up Sunday's Street Market at Elmaro Vineyard in Trempealeau, still two more Sundays in June 1-4pm .

Staring in July after the holidays I'll be painting at Holmen's Halfway Creek Park during their Sunday evenings music which starts at 5pm

 Will try to be there for most of the summer, enjoying creating and tunes. Stop by and say hi. Come down and sketch or paint if you're inclined. Great place to work on figures since they sit pretty still while enjoying the music.

 When I went down to Artspire in 2024 I immediately came back to my studio to paint some of the chalk artists. Going down today to see what inspires me.

Happy Trails Day

 Today was the third annual Artists Along the Trails plein air event in the Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge.

A little bit of rain dampen our efforts but we rallied at the end with a display of a wide variety of artistic styles and a nice lunch provide by the Friends of Trempealeau Refuge and the Michael Owecke Memorial Fund.

Many of the artists have more refuge inspired artwork on display for the month of June in the crush pad at Elmaro Vineyard. Plus on Street Market Sundays at the Winery many artists will be plein air painting in the Vineyard from 1-4. Be sure to join the artists for a closing reception on Sunday,  June 29 from 1-4.

Here's my two paintings from today. Subdued colors and lack of shadows due to the overcast day.

Cloudy days are ok. These big billowy clouds appeared  suddenly over the refuge prairie, Trying to capture the moment then a little more work done in the studio.
