Look What I Did-Oil Painting Class

Stormy Skies 8x10 oil on Aluminum Panel

I just finished up an oil painting class at the Winona Arts Center called Oil Painting 101 . We started in September and once a week we met for two hours learning different techniques and products. I learned a lot and enjoyed the exposure to different surfaces, painting tools and products. Plus using environmentally safe products. Each week everything was laid out for us with all the materials provided. Even better we left with a painting carefully transported in a box provided.

Our facilitator was Casey Wicka (seen in photo), a wonderful artist who created these weekly challenges for us. She shared her wealth of knowledge and love of painting in oils with us. She guided us as well as let us express ourselves adapting her teaching to the variety of artists who attended.

Check out Winona Arts Center for future oil painting classes winonaarts.org

Thank you Casey for the opportunity to learn from you.
