Most know me for my paintings capturing the scenic beauty of the Driftless Region. Every time I go out on an excursion I find I come home, inspired to paint what I've seen.
Some days aren't like others and what caught my attention while meeting up with others artists to draw on a farm was the sight of mouse traps. Many had done their job hence this is what I decided to paint.
A bit macabre, I hope you aren't offended.
To me it's a reminder of reality. We all have a different response to art, tell me what you see or feel about this painting.
