Finding Gold

Yet to be titled 8x10 oil

A recent outing with family to Wabasha, MN for a Golden Eagle birding trip.

Along with 50 other people we ventured from the National Eagle Center to the blufflands of Western Wisconsin. Happily with scopes and binoculars and the aid of professional spotters we saw at least 4 Golden Eagles some flying and one perched in a tree. The distance was too great to get photos of live Golden Eagles but I did get this skull that was presented during our orientation by the leader of our pack.

This painting will be part of my upcoming display "Feathered Friends" at Elmaro Vineyard and Winery in May in the Crush Pad.

Watch for more bird paintings to come.
