Tomorrow's the Day, Sat. Sept. 6 from 9am-Noon, Eviction Notice

Artist Reception for Colleen Shore –Sat, Sept 6 from 9am-Noon at The Station in Trempealeau

During the reception I'll be demonstrating painting on site, outside plein air if weather permits, inside from a photo if it rains.

Feathered Friends and More is about-

Messages birds might want to give us, to celebrating the seasonal migration of warblers.  Birders and Bird fans will enjoy the variety of   ways birds are portrayed and their impact on our lives.

Eviction Notice 11x14 oil and cold wax on cradled panel

Knock, Knock. Who’s There?

As cavity nesters woodpeckers rely on standing dead trees to make a home to raise their young.

 So maybe next time don’t be so quick, choosing to remove old trees. See if you can live with it because some birds can’t live  without them.

 Note Cold Wax and Collage;

I incorporated magazine strips picturing man-made wood products to achieve the tree texture in the background.  Comparing how man views the purpose of a tree vs birds.
