Elmaro Drawn Together

It's wonderful to be associated with so many great women artists. We celebrated after the installation with a wine pairing and Bloedows donuts. I think it helped our sketching for the morning. You can see artwork and sketches from many of our groups artists through March.

March's Worm Moon/Blood Moon

March's Worm Moon offered a small window of opportunity for viewers to catch the eclipse that turned the full moon into a Blood Moon. It lasted less than an hour and could be viewed on the west coast around 3 am and here in Onalaska I had to get up for a 5am viewing. As it turned out I only caught a partial glimpse for a minute. Down on Brice Prairie clouds were pretty dense. I really appreciate those that set there alarm for my contest only to find the moon obscured. A big thank you. I'm glad I got the word out so I could have at least one image to be able to paint for the unusual redness.

 March 2026 Blood Moon

and the Winner is Hen. she caught the Blood Moon down in San Diego. Loved the partial eclipse stage and the moody clouds, lots of fun to paint.
