More Inspiration

This is my third painting inspired from a Ho-Chunk Fancy Dance presentation at Perrot State Park. A special request for a birthday gift for Jodi's husband Les. My pleasure to try and paint the movement and grace of this traditional dance.

A recent wonderful discovery in Tomah, Wisconsin. The Ho-Chunk Nation Museum has a wonderful display of bandolier bags, many older than 100 years. I've recently been following them on facebook and see they have programs for the public on beading, basketry and creating clothing. This is a must on my bucket list.

 Even on a date night my mind goes to painting opportunities. My husband and I recently stopped for a cocktail at La Cave the lower level lounge at Le Chateau in La Crosse. You can't beat the ambience and cool drinks in the limestone basement of the grand Mons Anderson House.

I hear they even have mixology classes.

Golden Moments

 Hope you had a Happy 4th. My sister and I participated in the Golden's on Parade in Cedarburg for Independence Day.

I keep trying to capture the magnificent of her Golden Retrievers, I just have to keep at it.

Here's a few snapshots of the event. Hard to get my camera out while holding onto a leash with the dog leading the way. There were at least 50 Golden Retrievers.
