Elmaro Vineyard and Winery
From the original 1850 family homestead to a modern Vineyard and Winery, Elmaro brings the Napa experience to Trempealeau. The first vines planted in 2006 started the path to providing top notch hospitality and wines in the region. A labor of love, this family owned and operated agribusiness is an adventure every weekend offering music, yoga, arts, and private picnics to group gatherings. (Paintings-”Arriving at Elmaro”, )
My paintings this year reflect a homage to all the workers and servers. Capturing the many hands it takes to keep the Winery and Vineyard going. With permission, I spent some time during the off hours to visit and see what it takes. (Paintings-”Behind the Scenes”, “Monday Blues”, “Up Front and Personal” and “Row by Row Harvest”)
When I’m not working I also enjoy taking friends to Elmaro for some libations and a little noshing. Even in the winter you can enjoy the patio with the help of their outdoor fire tables. (Painting-”Afternoon Delight”, Chillin’ at Elmaro” and “Winter on the Vine”)
I’ve spent many days at Elmaro during my Art Exhibits in the Crush Pad to participating in Artists from the Refuge or just plein air painting or sketching on the premises for Junes Sunday Street Market. Giving me the privilege to watch the wines during the growing seasons. (Paintings-”Storms Over Vineyard”, Ready to Harvest 1, “Ready to Harvest 2”, “Ready, Set Grow”, “Breaking Bud”, “Vine Ripe”)
Of course another bicycle painting, always enjoy the flowers thank you -”On the Road Again”
On a personal note thank you Elmaro, if I could I would be out there every day with my sketchbook and pochade box, I would. So much to be inspired by. Special thanks to Events Coordinator Kari, Elmaro has hosted my artwork every year since 2022. Looking forward to next October 2026. www.elmarovineyard.com
